Whenever a player is dealt damage (ダメージ damēji), one of the following occurs:
- If that player has one or more Life Cloth, one of that player's Life Cloth is crushed.
- If that player has no Life Cloth, they lose the game.
Damage is dealt whenever a SIGNI attacks and there is no SIGNI in front of it, or whenever a LRIG attacks and the damage is not prevented via Guard. Damage may also be dealt through certain effects: for a list, see Category:Direct Damage.
Whenever a SIGNI with Double Crush deals damage with an attack to a player with two or more Life Cloth, that instance of damage crushes two Life Cloth instead of one. It is still considered to be only one instance of damage, so effects that prevent you from taking a single instance of damage will prevent both crushes from Double Crush.
